  1. Beautification Board This Board recommends public beautification projects, and evaluates landscape treatments and selects winners for local commercial and residential beautification awards.
  2. Board of Education This is a separately incorporated board whose primary responsibility is oversight of the public school system and its finances and policy.
  3. Board of Zoning Adjustment This board hears appeals from the decision of the building official, requests for special exceptions, and variance requests.
  4. Cemetery Authority Trussville Cemetery Authority was established to oversee Trussville Memorial Cemetery and the Mount Nebo Cemetery.
  5. Design Review Committee The Trussville Design Review Committee meets monthly review design plans for new construction, additions, and alterations to properties located within commercial, industrial, institutional, and historical districts.
  6. Historical Committee This committee promotes historic preservation and encourages public interest in our city’s history. Members serve four year term.
  7. Industrial Development Authority This incorporated board promotes industrial expansion for economic growth and employment.
  8. Library Board The Board oversees the operation of the public library and establishes policy.
  9. Parks & Recreation Board This advisory board assists in the development of policy and programs conducted through the Park and Recreation Department.
  10. Planning & Zoning Board The Planning and Zoning Board makes recommendations to the City Council on all zoning matters and on annexation. The Planning and Zoning Board approves or disapproves subdivisions or other divisions of property in accordance with established regulations.
  11. Public Safety Committee Hears public input and makes recommendations to city council on public safety matters.
  12. Redevelopment Authority Revitalization and development of the downtown business district through the promotion of trade, commerce, and employment opportunities.
  13. Senior Citizens Advisory Board Advisory committee on policy and programs conducted at the Senior Center.

  15. Utilities Board Trussville Gas & Water is the trade name for Utilities Board, City of Trussville. The City of Trussville organized the Board as a municipal corporation to serve water and natural gas to Trussville and the surrounding areas.
  16. Veterans Committee The City of Trussville Veterans Committee goal is to highlight, honor, and pay respect to our veterans and their families.
