Class Descriptions & Requirements

Class Age Level Description Notes
Tag-Alongs 18 Mo – 3 Years Beginner Focused on learning more about their body, developing motor and socialization skills. Parent or authorized adult over 19 years of age must attend the class with the child.
Tots 3-5 Years Beginner Focused on learning beginner gymnastics skills, developing strength, coordination and balance. This class will also focus more on cognitive development through counting, colors, and task completion. Skill Examples: Forward rolls, backward rolls, baby handstands, low beam walks, trampoline jumps, etc.
Hot-Shots 5-8 Years Beginner-Intermediate Focused on improving and learning new gymnastics skills. Students will work with each other to complete conditioning assignments and work on team development. Skill Examples: Handstands, cartwheels, backward rolls, jump on beam, transitioning basic skills to the high beam, round-offs, spotted back handsprings, casts, pull overs, back hip circles, etc.
Rising Stars 8-10 Years Beginner-Intermediate Focused on improving and learning new gymnastics skills. Students will work with each other to complete conditioning assignments and work on team development. Skill Examples: Handstands, cartwheels, backward rolls, jump on beam, transitioning basic skills to the high beam, round-offs, spotted back handsprings, casts, pull overs, back hip circles, etc.
Girls Rec 10+ Years Beginner-Intermediate Focused on improving and learning new gymnastics skills. Students will work with each other to complete conditioning assignments and work on team development. Skill Examples: Handstands, cartwheels, backward rolls, jump on beam, transitioning basic skills to the high beam, round-offs, spotted back handsprings, casts, pull overs, back hip circles, etc.
Mini-Team 4-6 Intermediate-Advanced (NON-COMPETITIVE – Invitation Only) This class is the next step up for those moving out of a recreation class based on skill level. As a gymnast improves, they will be periodically evaluated for transition into this group. This group is a stepping stone for transition into our competitive programs. During this time they will focus more on strength development, basic skill perfection, and form and execution. Skills similar to that of a USAG Level 1&2 requirement.
Pre-Team 7+ Intermediate-Advanced (NON-COMPETITIVE – Invitation Only) This class is the next step up for those moving out of a recreation class based on skill level. As a gymnast improves, they will be periodically evaluated for transition into this group. This group is a stepping stone for transition into our competitive programs.
