Administrative Offices

The city administrative offices are located at the City Hall Annex at 113 N Chalkville Road, telephone number (205) 655-7478. The Mayor’s office, City Clerk’s office, Finance office, IT and Human Resources comprise this location. This office provides general information and assistance to the community, including:

  • General public information
  • Business licenses
  • Building permits
  • Miscellaneous taxes
  • Garbage service information
  • City ordinances
  • Zoning and Subdivision information
  • Municipal Election services

The staff in the Administrative Office will assist new residents with information and with garbage/recycling set up. Many issues such as changes to voter registration, driver’s licenses, and utilities are not performed at City Hall, but information is available.

New business information is available at City Hall. The staff can assist you with requirements for a local business license, and can provide telephone numbers or contact information for other agencies.
