Taxes

The State of Alabama collects the Sales & Use taxes for the City of Trussville. Information below may be used for both State of Alabama and City of Trussville sales and use taxes. Rental Lease, Liquor, Wine, Lodging is collected locally by the City of Trussville, 131 Main Street (P. O. Box 159) Trussville, AL 35173, Telephone (205) 655-7478.


Trussville Rental/Lease Tax Rates

Tangible Personal Property 3%
Vehicle/Automotive 1%
Linens & Garments 3%

Due and Payable to the City of Trussville by the 20th of the month next succeeding the month of collection.


Liquor Tax

An amount equal to 10% of gross liquor purchases made during the month, due and payable to the City of Trussville by the 20th of the month next succeeding the month of purchase.


Wine Tax

An amount equal to .07 per liter of wine distributions made during the month, due and payable to the City of Trussville by the 20th of the month next succeeding the month of distribution.


Lodging Tax

An amount equal to 6% of gross lodgings revenues, due and payable to the City of Trussville by the 20th of the month next succeeding the month of collection.
